I am so proud that a black man is in the White House, I am only disappointed that he feels that the scripture is wrongfully interpreted on the issue of homosexuality and that Abortions in his mind is merely a woman doing what she chooses with her own body.
The people have high expectation of this young man. I just pray for his safety and that his political views on homosexuality and Abortions will not have a negative impact on the Black Church. As you know, in the 94 plus pages of the Democrat's Agenda that Obama helped to develop, Obama pledges:
1. Recognize same sex couples
2. Support Abortion - the woman's right to choose while expanding sex education classes to prevent pregnacies.
3. Over turn the Defensive Marriage Act which supports marriage between a man and a woman
4. Revise the clause in Faith Based Initiative Program which allows the church to set standards on who they will hire - he pledges to remove this clause so churches cannot establish standards that may exclude atheist and homosexuals.
5. Uphold laws that condemn "Hate Speech" under the existing "Hate Crime Laws." Which means sermons opposing homosexuality can be considered "Hate Speech."
6. Revised portions of Affirmative Action to exclude African Americans who are wealthy and include poor whites
I believe President Obama will have a year and a half honeymoon. After this period I believe he will experience a lot pressure, that's when he is really going to need the people's support. Usually during these times the people abandon their leader as they did with Jesus, Clinton, Bush and Nixon. Both Obama and our nation will need our prayers.

Re: Concerns
Mr. Perryman. I would just like to express my confirmation on the topics of concern that you brought up about "President Elect" Obama. I, like you, am proud of the fact that "we" have overcame so much in this country. We owe a lot of credit to the country as a whole because we all had a part in the change that allowed this to happen. I learned of you through the Michael Medved show and am quite shock that there wasn't more people that was moved by your words on Oct 9th's show. There was a show that recently preceded that one which, then, I was introduced to you for the very first time. I like to thank you for you dedication to the work of The Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and would like you to know that it's very encouraging to hear from a person that share similar character traits, background and now...some political views, as far as I know. I look forward to purchasing some of you writings as I am now more encourage to stand on what I believe is my divine provoking to seek out that it which I hear that you have and been doing. God Bless.

Re: Concerns
Dear Mr. Perryman,
I, too, am proud of our heritage, thru Jesus Christ, that we are bound by the unity of His Spirit. I kindly agree on the concerns you have pertaining to his platform and stance on these core issues where I, as a person of color, find it troublesome when looking towards our future as a believer. As we see events unfolding abroad; EU, Russia, Iran, the economy and now the Senate at home preparing for the next administration, it appears to me, sir, that we, as a union of believers, will suffer inch-by-inch the depletion of our voice; our stance on abortion within even the communities we live in, and same-sex-marriage. President elect Obama has made public promises to these prominent groups and under the guise of fairness doctrine, we will see a vilifying of our framework or position. I am gravely concerned for our children and our children's children. I am praying for your voice to speak up and out. Til we see each other in glory...

Re: Concerns
Mr. Perryman, thanks for not falling into the Obama hype created by the liberal media. God bless us, now there will be more innocent babies aborted. All I hear is how God must have bless this election with Obama and this is from 99% of the black pastors I attend class with. This is truely scary, if they don't even understand when life begins and Obama position he voted for on partial birth, infanticide and abortion on demand.

Re: Concerns
We all must pray for Obama. The Bible tells us that unless God keeps the city, the watchmen watch in vain. We must keep our faith and trust in the Lord and not in the political parties. Obama is a very intelligent man, but he needs the wisdom of God. Without it, he will continue to support gay rights and Abortions. The biggest problem with the gay rights movement is the fact that they want to silence the church and keep us from speaking out on things we believe to be wrong according to the Bible. In his book: Audacity of Hope, Obama refers to preachers who preach against homosexuality as "gay bashing" (page 222), and indicates that we use obscure scriptures to justify our opposition to homosexuality.
